Program Requirements

Community college students who are interested in the Starting Point Mentorship Program (SPMP) must meet the following requirements each semester. 

Fall Semester Requirements

September - December

  • Be applying to UC Berkeley during the Fall 2026 admission cycle
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (the minimum GPA required for UC eligibility)
  • Submit the Mentee Interest Form 
  • Attend the mandatory Mentee Orientation

Spring Semester Requirements

February - April

  • OPEN TO ALL students enrolled in a California Community College during the Spring semester.
