Academic Counselor

Bio:

I am a first-generation college graduate who grew up in Hayward. During my undergraduate career at UC Davis, I learned that I had a passion for working with students and supporting them with all things college! I was involved in psychology and human development research labs, mentored youth as a counseling intern for the Dixon Teen Center, and worked as a Peer Advisor for the Human Development major. Afterward, I became a College Advisor Fellow for UC Berkeley's Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC) and provided holistic college advising to first-generation high school students in Oakland. I then went on to pursue my master's in Counseling at Fresno State University. During my time as a graduate student, I served as an Academic Advising Coach and Academic Coach where I provided academic advising, holistic counseling, and support in developing college-level study habits for academic success. As an Academic Counselor, I hope to empower transfer students in their educational journey and help facilitate their transition to Cal. I am excited to meet you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. Even if you just want to chat!
