Leadership Opportunities

Transfer students talking to incoming students

The Transfer Student Center Internships provide an opportunity for students to participate in the creation of a dynamic and supportive community within and across the Transfer Student Center. Internships through The Transfer Center are developed each semester and focus on addressing community needs, fostering leadership, and public service. Students can earn 1-2 units of academic credit while they take part in serving the needs of a dynamic student community.

In collaboration with staff, interns develop a specific service learning project area, with the goal of enhancing and/or expanding campus and community resources and enriching the university experience for transfer students.

A commitment of 45 hours per semester is required for each unit of academic credit available.
